A modular RISC-V small PC with up to 16GB of RAM is called the Sipeed Lichee Pi 4A.

The business claims that the Lichee Pi 4A from Sipeed performs better than a Raspberry Pi 4 in terms of performance. But it differs from Raspberry Pi devices in a few significant ways.

First, the RISC-V CPU power the Lichee Pi 4A. It can accommodate up to 16GB of RAM, per second. Thirdly, the LM4A system-on-a-module that connects to the Pi 4A carrier board has the memory and storage in question. The same module may be used with new products from Sipeed, such as a router kit, cluster board, tablet, and phone.

The CPU within the LM4A module is an Alibaba T-Head TH1520. It has Xuantie C910, C906, and E902 cores and up to 4 TOPS of AI performance on a 12nm RISC-V device.

Along with other things, the module supports up to 16GB of LPDDR4x-3733 memory and up to 128GB of eMMC storage.

A modular RISC-V small PC with up to 16GB of RAM is called the Sipeed Lichee Pi 4A.

The Lichee Pi 4A is the first board to support the LM4A module, which is made to plug into carrier boards like a stick of RAM and offers a variety of I/O possibilities.

A WiFi and Bluetooth adaptor, as well as MIPI-DSI and MIPI-CSI connections for displays and cameras, are also included on the carrier board.

According to Sipeed, the system is compatible with the Debian, Android, and OpenWRT operating systems. The firm also offers configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, ranging from 2GB of RAM and 0GB of storage.

Customers who want to place a pre-order can indicate their interest by completing a questionnaire, and the business will contact you when the board and module become available. In the first quarter of 2023, shipment is anticipated to start.

Other LM4A-powered products are also being planned, according to Sipeed. These include the Lichee Pad 4A, which has a 10.1-inch display, the Lichee Phone 4A, which has a 6-inch screen, the Lichee Router 4A, which has a compact chassis, an antenna, and optional WiFi 6 support, and the Lichee Cluster 4A mini ITX board, which has slots for up to seven LMA4 modules, an 8-port Gigabit.
